The NEA Thermochemical Database Project (TDB) provides a high-quality, traceable, internally consistent and internationally recognised chemical thermodynamic database of elements that are relevant to the geochemical modelling and safety of radioactive waste repositories.
The TDB electronic database is an interactive online tool that provides registered users with access to such thermochemical data. The application includes advanced search engines that enable users to retrieve selected formation and reaction data for over 1 500 species. Users can also launch bibliographic searches of 18 000 references reviewed by the authors of the 15 volumes of the Chemical Thermodynamic Series (CTS) published to date.
A new functionality was implemented recently in the TDB electronic database to search specific ion interaction theory (SIT) coefficients selected by the TDB Project to perform ionic strength corrections within the range of the SIT applicability, as described in the TDB Project Guidelines.
