The NEA in co-ordination with the National University of Science and Technology Politehnica Bucharest convened the second country-specific workshop under the NEA Global Forum on Nuclear Education, Science, Technology and Policy on the topic of "Aligning high education and workforce needs in Romania". The event took place from 10-11 October 2023.
Country-specific workshops enable dialogue between academia, government and nuclear industry to overcome barriers to nuclear education and outline scenarios for its future in a specific country. The country-specific workshop in Romania focused on the role of academia in workforce development to enable the advancement of the nuclear energy sector in the country.
